Every so often, a project lands in the studio that perfectly blends creativity, speed, and a touch of delightful chaos. This spring, Pinterest’s New York office reached out with a brief for their London Pin Board executives: create 80 spring‑themed boxes that felt fresh, thoughtful, and on‑trend.
We love a seasonal brief — but this one took an exciting turn.
After sharing a few initial concepts, Pinterest came back with a completely different direction. Instead of traditional spring themes, they wanted the boxes to embody the official Pinterest Trends of 2026, including the colour palette from their upcoming trend report.
The two trends they wanted to hero were:
Scent Stacking — the art of layering fragrances to create a personalised scent profile
Gummy Bears — playful, nostalgic, and unexpectedly stylish
With a colour story of baby blue and dark aubergine, straight from Pinterest’s 2026 forecast
A dream brief for anyone who loves mixing creativity with cultural insight.
Each of the 80 boxes was curated to bring these trends to life in a tactile, joyful way. Inside, we included:
A gummy bear keyring — a fun, colourful nod to the trend
Gummy bear sweets — because who doesn’t love an edible moment
A kombucha drink — tying in Pinterest’s ongoing wellness and gut‑health themes
Three complementary perfumes — selected specifically for scent stacking, allowing recipients to experiment with layering
A custom notecard featuring a QR code linking directly to Pinterest’s trend report, along with a thank‑you message
Every detail — from the colour palette to the product selection — was designed to feel cohesive, contemporary, and unmistakably Pinterest.
The final boxes were playful yet polished, trend‑driven yet personal. Most importantly, they captured exactly what Pinterest wanted: a physical expression of the digital trends shaping 2026.
